DhanCharcha – A financial literacy campaign

As the name suggests, this campaign is about empowering the less privileged rural communities of our country and educating about financial services, banking facilities, loans, digital know-how, insurance and other government schemes. Not everyone is equipped with this knowledge and it is important to learn about it. DhanCharcha is generously funded by Hero FinCorp and implemented by the Raman Kant Munjal Foundation. This campaign has covered several locations in Haryana, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Bihar, Uttarakhand, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, and Madhya Pradesh.


Educating the rural masses 

Mobile vans with a screen showing a 45-minute animated audio-visual film are deployed to remote areas. The film educates the audience about the many financial, banking and insurance-related topics. Our volunteers answer questions after the film is screened. 

The target audience is divided into several groups such as school or college students, villagers, urban poor and industrial workers.
