It is currently estimated that more than 80% of the youth in our country who are in the working age group or are about to reach the working age group are school drop outs or have not been able to complete basic formal education required to earn a job. A large population of this youth is women.
Unless given vocational skills, they will neither have the competency to work as skilled labor nor will they be able to work for a long duration as casual labor before they tend to fall towards not so desirable habits or lifestyle thus taking them away from being good citizens and developed individuals.
By providing vocational training, we aim to change the less privileged into an asset for themselves, the society and the community they live in. With a focus on women centric programs, we have been able to positively change hundreds of lives where post our certified programs, these women today either run their own small businesses like boutiques or work for other small businesses and thus enjoy a sense of new found confidence and financial independence.
Since 1993 till date, we have successfully run these programs around the villages of Dharuhera, Manesar, Pataudi, Rewari and Bhiwadi in Haryana,
Sewing and stitching course:
The diploma course is designed to enable women to learn sewing and stitching skills that enable them to either run their own boutiques or find employment in garment manufacturing units.
In addition to this foundation runs satellite centers to cater to women who are constrained by lack of transportation facilities to reach the main center. These satellite centers are set up in approachable walking distance for women from a cluster of 2-3 villages. Currently foundation runs 7 satellite centers training 140 women every six months.
Beauty Parlor Course
A six-month course designed to fully train women and girls in beauty skills both theoretically and practically in well-equipped centers that have all the necessary equipment of a beauty parlor. At the end of the course the students are fully ready to either open their own parlors or work with other parlors and beauty/ cosmetic companies
Computer Courses
The computer-learning center was set up 2007 to impart IT skills and soft skills in the technology-driven world. The foundation has provided entire infrastructure and runs various IT courses such as, 3 months certification course in Basic Computer Knowledge, 6 months Diploma course in Computer Applications, 12 months Advanced Diploma in Computer Applications. Now, the foundation has setup 3 Satellite centers in addition to main center reaching out to a larger community.
These programs enable the children and youth, especially young women with holistic growth and the very essential computers and IT skills in today’s modern world.
